We will require proof of vaccination to attend our trips for the safety of SHH staff members, partner communities, and other volunteers. Upon registration, you will be required to send us a picture or copy of your original vaccination record issued by the country’s health authority that administered the vaccination. We will also require negative viral test results no more than 3 days prior your arrival to Honduras. We will require masks when social distancing in densely populated areas, outside of the hostel or bus, is not possible. We expect that all volunteers comply with our safety protocol. In the case that SHH decides to cancel the trip because of COVID-19, you will have the option to move your deposit to a future trip or be reimbursed in full. We will assess and adjust COVID-19 policy as deemed necessary by U.S. and Honduran health authorities. As of January 2021, people traveling by air to the United States are required to show negative viral test results no more than 3 days prior to travel. The cost of each test is roughly $50 U.S. dollars (to be paid by the volunteer), and we will take all volunteers to a local clinic to be tested. If a volunteer tests positive for COVID-19 while in Honduras, we will work with the volunteer to arrange safe and affordable lodging for quarantine and offer support until they are able to travel back to the U.S. **If you do not upload both your vaccine card and negative test results no more than 3 days prior to travel, we will not allow you to attend SHH trips regardless of whether or not you have paid.TRIP DATES 2022
