We know there are no quick fixes when it comes to international development. Hondurans faces complex issues including extreme poverty, gang violence, and corruption.

One Thousand Schools works to create partnerships and work with communities in efforts to alleviate these problems through education and youth empowerment. We work hand-in-hand with community members– mothers, fathers, teachers, and students–together to build the school. We believe that the future doctors, lawyers, and changemakers will learn in these classrooms.

For jobs. For safety. For education.

We believe in addressing the root issue.

We believe in the power of education.

We’re on a mission to end the cycle of generational poverty in Honduras through education.

Will you join us in helping build a school?
